Summer Sessions and What to Expect

Hello again! It's been a while, and I hope everyone is doing well and maintaining their sanity through this crazy time in history. I'm happy to share that starting May 25th, I'll officially be able to provide outdoor sessions to anyone who wants to book!! Couples, maternity, families, seniors, small outdoor weddings, even outdoor newborn sessions that will look different from how I normally run a newborn session, but will still capture your brand new baby and all the love you have for them.

Here's what you can expect from a socially distant photo session this summer:
I will be wearing a mask the entire time. You will not, unless you want some photos taken with a mask on to remember this time.
I will sanitize my hands prior to starting your session.
I will be at least 10 feet away from you at all times, likely more than that, as I'll mainly be using my 85mm lens, which requires me to be pretty far away in order to get you in the frame without chopping off a head or legs. If I switch to another lens at all, it'll be because I want a shot that includes a ton of the setting we chose for your session, so I'll be standing far away in order to get the beautiful background in the shot. Because of the mask over my face and the distance between us, I'll be directing you with my words only and I will likely be trying to talk very loudly so that you can hear me!
I usually bring a blanket for clients to sit on during parts of the session, but for now, you will need to bring your own blanket with you to ensure no contact.
Payment can be made either by check mailed to me, or via Venmo, so that no contact is needed. Galleries will be delivered via email, as always, and I'm always available for questions via email or text, so I can answer any issues or problems that come up!
For newborn sessions, all of the above will apply and I will not be providing any blankets, swaddles, headbands, hats, etc for your baby at this time. In order to ensure the safety of that tiny little person, I will not be posing or touching your baby at all, at least for now. Newborn sessions will happen outdoors during the nice warm months so that they are comfortable, and will be in the lifestyle genre, capturing you and your family and your connections. We don't have to do these on location. We can certainly do these in your yard, on your deck or patio, or even through your windows for an especially unique set of newborn photos.

Of course, things can and likely will change. Either standards could ease up or tighten back down, in which case I will re-assess what makes the most sense for sessions and go from there.
In the meantime, if you would like to book any kind of session at all, my rates have been dropped back to 2019 pricing and can be found on the Investment page of my website. For June, July and August I will be offering only 3 sessions a week: Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings during golden hour or just before, so book ASAP to secure the date you want!! I am waiting to open up fall time slots until later on in the summer when we all have a better idea of what life will look like then.
If you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to email me and ask! I hope to be seeing you all from a safe distance this summer!!!
