When I pulled into the location for this maternity session, I gasped, because lining the road into Colt State Park in Bristol, RI were these utterly gorgeous trees in full bloom. I'd never been here before, and my clients had scouted out the locations that they wanted to use ahead of time, none of which included the flowering trees. But when I met them at our meeting place, they immediately asked if we could go back and use the trees for some photos, as they weren't in bloom when they had last visited. If they hadn't asked, I'd have suggested it. They were the perfect complement to her beautiful dress and with the cloudy skies, the colors of the flowers really popped. So we headed back and played there for a bit before heading on to the rest of their chosen locations. It was chilly and windy by the water, but the wind added that extra element of movement to the images, and I just love how the whole gallery came out, especially the ones with their energetic dog who was extra adorable.
