This session has to be one of the most laid-back and relaxed newborn sessions I've done. Which is sort of the point of in home newborn sessions, right? You don't even have to leave your house; I come to you and capture your family as they are in the space you call home. Everything you and your family needs is right there in a familiar place, so I do hope that families can relax more fully during these sessions than they would if they had to get everyone dressed and ready and packed and to a studio.
I had the loveliest two hours with this new family of three, in a very cool home in Norwell that they've been renovating themselves since they moved in. We captured beautiful images of the three of them together, sweet photos of just the baby all swaddled, and then mom and baby and dad and baby, of course. We had the chance to use the baby's room and living space, and with all those windows I had lots of light to play with. Not to mention a very cute antique cradle. I come across these in client's homes from time to time, and they've usually been handed down over the years, with grandparents having slept in them when they were babies, so it's very cool to have the chance to document that as a part of a session.
